Account & Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your Profile Advocate account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do it, what is deleted, and what we may retain and why.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Sign in to your account at profileadvocate.com/login.php or in the Profile Advocate app.
- Open Settings from the menu.
- Scroll to Delete my account, confirm your password, and confirm the deletion.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. Your active case work, if any, ends when your account is deleted.
2. Or request deletion by email
If you can't sign in, email questions@profileadvocate.com with the subject "Delete my account" from the email address on your account. We will verify it's you and complete the deletion within 30 days.
3. What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- All uploaded documents — government ID, credit reports, screenshots, bureau and creditor responses — including the encrypted files themselves.
- Your intake details, including any Social Security Number on file.
- All portal messages, dispute results, credit-score history, and AI analyses.
- Push-notification subscriptions and text-message preferences.
- Any unpaid referral earnings.
4. What may be retained
- Security audit records (e.g., sign-in and access events) — retained for fraud prevention and legal compliance; they contain no credit data or documents.
- Payment and payout records that we are required to keep under tax and financial-record laws (e.g., 1099 reporting).
- Published testimonials you chose to make public — these are unlinked from your account identity; email us if you would like a testimonial removed as well.
5. Automatic deletion
Even if you never request deletion, completed cases are retained for 45 days after completion and then permanently deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
